How are you today?
Icon, an emblematic person, a symbol of the movies…the highlight of this Happy Hour week goes to an actor, director, producer and great artist of the big screen, fair enough, right???
Yes, SIS will talk about this great icon, Clint Eastwood Jr., who was born May 31, 1930, Gemini, and will complete 88 years old next Thursday.
His father was also called Clint Eastwood, his mother’s name was Ruth Eastwood, and her sister’s name is Jean.
Born in San Francisco, California, Clint lived a nomadic life with his family, as they were always searching for work during the Depression until, finally, settled in Oakland, where he graduated from Oakland Techinical High School.
After high school, Clint started working with various activities, such as straw baler, lumberjack and truck driver until, in 1950, he joined Army Special Services, where he met the actors David Janssen and Martin Milner who convinced him to moved to Los Angeles, in 1954, and indicated him for his first work at Universal Pictures.
From then on, he began to make history as a major Hollywood star and has already been ranked second among the 100 greatest stars of all time.
In addition, Clint has a very active political life, having even been elected mayor of Carmel, California, in 1986. But he served his term for only two years.
With several children and some marriages, Clint had his first daughter, Kimber (1964) with Roxanne Tunnis. He was married to Maggie Johnson from 1953 until the year 1984 and had two children with her, Kyle (1968) and Alison (1972). He also had two children with Jacelyn Reeves, Scott (1986) and Kathryn (1988), and a daughter with Frances Fisher, Francesca Ruth (1993). Finally, he married Dina Ruiz in 1996 and had a daughter, Morgan, in the same year. Pheeeeew…so many children, eh, Mr. Eastwood !?
Conservative and liberal at the same time (how is that possible?), he defends the American Republican party, but he fights for many causes of the Democratic party, which means, we can not even try to label his political vision, since he does not follow a pattern of ideologies (which I, honestly, think is great!).
Actor, director, producer, vegan, activist and philanthropist, we’ll spend the week talking about this great human being who is Clint Eastwood. Do not lose it.
